Sensors & Software at CFT: GPR systems and evaluation software

Line location with transmitter and receiver ends where nothing conducts: plastic pipes without a tracer wire, clayware, PE cable ducts. From there, ground-penetrating radar takes over – it reads the reflections out of the ground and makes visible what carries no signal. Sensors & Software builds the LMX systems for this; at CFT they stand in the sales programme, together with the evaluation software and the GPS rover.

The Sensors & Software range

LMX100 and LMX150 are the field instruments for routes and areas; Conquest 100 looks into concrete before drilling starts. EKKO Project evaluates the radar data at the desk, and the external GPS rover ties every measurement to coordinates – the bridge from radar image to as-built documentation.

What these instruments are used for

In as-built capture, ground-penetrating radar is the way to the lines no plan knows and no transmitter finds. We drive these surveys ourselves and know how a pipe differs from a stone – interpreting the radar images is the actual craft, and exactly there we help you get started.

Introduction and training

Every radar bought from us is introduced outdoors, on real ground with real targets. Building on that, there is training in image interpretation and in working with EKKO Project.

Service, repair and calibration

Service and repair run through the group’s workshop service with a direct line to the manufacturer – findings and cost estimate before the work.

Frequently asked questions

Does the radar see every pipe?

No – it sees density contrasts, and those depend on the ground: in sandy soils the view reaches deep, in heavy loam it ends earlier. What is realistic, we tell you honestly before you buy.

LMX100 or LMX150 – what distinguishes the two?

Resolution, equipment and the path to evaluation. For pure on-site search the LMX100 is enough; whoever wants to document and take results into GIS reaches for the LMX150 with GPS rover and EKKO Project.

Does the radar replace classic line location?

No, it complements it: metallic and live lines are found faster and more clearly by location with a transmitter; the radar takes the rest. That is why the group’s crews carry both.

Sensors & Software in the SEMPERDEAL shop

Orders run through SEMPERDEAL, the group’s online shop – advice and introduction come from us.

Ask for advice

We advise before you order.

Tell us what it is about – an instrument, accessories, a spare part or advice. We will tell you what these instruments can do.

What happens next

  1. We check whether the instrument fits your task – and tell you if it does not.
  2. You receive an offer including instruction; service and calibration where we hold the manufacturer’s authorisation.
  3. On request we demonstrate it on a real case beforehand.

Fields marked Required must be filled in.

For example: a spare part for a particular instrument, an offer for a new purchase, a question about operation.
If known: type designation or item number.

Telephone or email – we need one of the two to answer you.

How we handle your details is set out in the privacy notice (in German).

We will come back to you. Your details go exclusively to dienstleistung@cft.at and are not passed on.
